Conscientious Choices for Packaging and Shipping
Let's keep Porter Blue out of the landfill together! We heavily emphasize sustainable material choices in our production process, but the efforts don't stop there!
Our eco-friendly approach touches upon every aspect of the purchase process, too. We utilize recycled, recyclable, and biodegradable/compostable materials throughout so that we can minimize waste no matter the touch point.
RECYCLED POLYBAGS
We use 100% recycled poly bags.
BIODEGRADABLE MAILERS
Since our start, we have shipped all of our products in custom biodegradable mailers. They are made up of 100% recycled, 90% post-consumer fibers. Beginning in May of 2025 we will phase these out and begin utilizing Pollast!c Mailers. These readily available Mailers are made from 100% Ocean Bound Plastic pollutants. They can be recycled with soft plastics and are carbon neutral.
BIODEGRADABLE HANG TAGS
Our hang tags are also biodegradable. They are 100% recyclable.
LESSEN DISTANCE/GAS USAGE
We attempt to move product closer to consumers. At the moment, we ship from Los Angeles, and only within North America. As we expand our footprint, we will move partial production to other parts of world distribution centers to use the lowest gas emissions for shipment. This is a work in progress and is a growth initiative.
